Although the casino industry implies a lot of opportunities for creative advertisements, in reality, there are only a few ads that make you want to rewatch them. We, at HotPotBonus, decided to collect them into a single list, and here it is.
1. DrückGlück Casino
The plot in the ad is pretty simple, but still appealing. A bellboy gets a coin from a passing by high-roller in a tailor-made suit and decides to try his luck. He puts the coin into a slot machine and guess what? He wins! All people around are cheering and dancing and the bellboy is happy. Probably the main idea that DrückGlück wanted to tell its customers is that everyone can hit the jackpot so it’s worth trying. In general, the advert is funny and effective, as it makes you want to follow suit of that bellboy. And the DrückGlück Bonusse featured in the video serve as an added attraction. So the advert has reached the objective.
2. Foxy Bingo Casino
Heather Graham, a famous American actress, is starring in the advert as Foxy. In fact, she has become the face of the casino. Her acting along with a bright idea seems to be the key to the advert’s success. The trick is that in all previous ads there the viewers didn’t know who was performing under the costume. Foxy had a brutal voice with a northern accent, so everyone supposed the actor was a man. However, the casino finally decided to dispel the suspense, and Foxy turned out to be a woman! A clever maneuver, I must admit. Well done, Foxy Bingo!
3. bgo Casino
The new ad run by bgo casino features ‘The Boss’, performed by Verne Troyer, an American actor and comedian, singing “You can’t beat me” to the melody of a famous song “U Can’t Touch This” that was awarded Grammy. The Boss is shown at his luxurious house, in the mountains together with Siberian tigers, sailing on a boat in his pool, near his red Porsche and a personal bodyguard, and other places. The ad ends up with The Boss saying “I’m the Boss at bgo.com. You can’t beat me” and the phrase “Get 20 Free Spins at bgo.com” appears on the screen.
The advert can’t boast of a super complex or dramatic plot, but it definitely stays in your memory for a long time and makes you sing the words “You can’t beat me” again and again.
4. StanJames Casino
StanJames casino decided to go the other way than DrückGlück and chose another concept. There you won’t see anyone pushing the slot button and crying out of happiness. Actually, during the whole ad you won’t see anything except lemons. You may ask “So what’s special about the ad?” Just listen to the voice. It says that on their own lemons taste sour, but if they line up, lemons will suddenly become sweet. Sweetness in this context represents victory. The casino used the analogy to compare lemons as fruits and lemons that are used as symbols in slot machines. StanJames went off the beaten track and created something different. A good try, at least in my view.
5. Virgin Games Casino
The advert features a vampire called Vlad, but he is not like the famous Dracula. Vlad has been a vampire for 500 years and he feels bored to be undead. So he wants to be busy with something and becomes a legitimate employee. He works as a cashier in a supermarket and faces everyday difficulties like dealing with garlic. Vlad even manages to find a girlfriend, who is not a gorgeous young woman in a red dress, as everyone would expect, but an old lady that was buying garlic.
But what finally makes Vlad alive is playing roulette at Virgin Games. The game allows him to re-embrace life and “live a little”.
From all the above mentioned adverts, the one created by DrückGlück is our favorite. Although it has a typical plot, the idea behind is clear and appealing: anyone can hit the jackpot, even those who expect it least.
Of course, these are not all the adverts for the year 2017 and many new are ahead. Stay tuned and visit HotPotBonus to keep in touch with the latest news.
